All American Shotokan Karate Federation is a non-profit organization that has been teaching traditional Karate-do in the United States since 1987. The AASKF was founded and is directed by Ron Loux.  Shihan Ron is also recognized as the chief instructor of many other AASKF affiliated schools.  AASKF maintains its headquarters in Sao Paulo, San Jose, Brazil, with its US Headquarters in Central Kentucky.

The AASKF was founded with the prodigious intention of creating a network to share Martial Art ideologies, Philosophies, and valued Doctrines. The focus point of the organization is to create a viable and feasible means by which to share meaningful information by utilizing tools such as online seminars, video training, and distance learning, thus making continental and oceanic separation moot. The ability to access and communicate in a dynamic manner with an instructor close to home or across continents creates a tremendous and exciting environment for learning.

GICHIN FUNAKOSHI'S 20 KARATE-DO PRECEPTS

Karate begins and ends with respect and courtesy

There is no first attack in karate

Karate supports righteousness

Know yourself first, then others

The art of the mind is more important than the technique

Free your mind

Trouble is born of negligence (and ignorance)

Karate is not just for the dojo

The training of karate takes a lifetime

Karate is like hot water, it cools down if you do not keep heating it

Do not think of winning, rather think of not losing

Transform yourself according to your opponent

The outcome of the fight depends upon the maneuver

Imagine one's arms and legs as swords

Once you leave home there are a million enemies

Postures are for the beginner, later they are natural positions

Perform the Kata correctly, the real fight is another matter

Do not forget to control the power and speed of a technique

Always be good at the application of all you learn

Apply the way of Karate to all things. Therein lies it's beauty
